June 20 Last Day of School Year (half-day)

Friday, June 20 is the last day of this school year. See the schedule for that day below:

  • 8:00 AM  School Start Time
  • 11:30 AM – Dismissal after lunch
  • 12:35 PM – School buses depart; please check the school bus schedule for that day.

Notes:

  1. Students can be dismissed after 11:30, no leave requests needed.
  2. Early dismissal request is needed if students are leaving before 11:30.
  3. Lost and Found: Over the course of this school year we have accumulated a collection of lost items and clothing, which are always placed at the rack at the front door of A8. If your child has lost items, please encourage them to check the rack and retrieve it before the Summer Vacation. Any Avenues-branded gear will be held onto for our family exchange, while non-Avenues logo clothes will be donated to families in need.

2025-2026 Registration Checklist Reminder

To ensure a smooth start to the new academic year, we kindly remind all families to review and update your family contact information as needed. A completed checklist is required for each student if you have more than one child enrolled at Avenues. We appreciate your continued partnership.

School Bus Service for 2025–2026 | Registration now open

We are now collecting intentions for the 2025–2026 school year bus service. If your child is aged 3 or above and you plan to participate in the bus service, kindly submit the registration form by June 20.

Your response will help us refine our routes and better accommodate each family’s needs. We look forward to providing a safe and caring transportation experience for your child in the new school year.

Picture Day Photos Order
The yearbook photos taken on campus in March—including class and individual portrait photos—will be used in the production of this year’s school yearbook. A printed copy of the yearbook will be distributed to each student’s family at the end of the school year.

In addition, parents now have the option to purchase student photos directly from the photography team online. The photos taken at school are now available for viewing and purchase.

How to Purchase Online:

  1. Please scan the QR code in the “Ordering Guide” by using WeChat, or search for the mini program “大卫校园影像”.
  2. Then, enter your child’s English name (e.g., Sam Wang) and date of birth to view the photos.

If you're unable to access the photos, please contact your division’s Operations Manager for help.

Health Office Friendly Reminder
Recently, there has been a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the wider community. To strengthen the health defenses of our campus, the Health Office kindly reminds you and your child to stay mindful of your health.

Daily Protection Measures:

  • Wear masks properly in crowded places, wash hands frequently, ventilate rooms regularly, and avoid gatherings.
  • Monitor your child’s temperature and overall health. If symptoms such as sore throat, fatigue, or fever appear, please keep your child at home for observation and test promptly (antigen/PCR), and delay their return to school.

If your child is diagnosed with COVID-19, please ensure they rest and recover at home and inform the Health Office. To prevent cross-infection, students may only return to school after at least 3 days of illness with a negative nucleic acid or antigen test, or 7 days after onset of symptoms.

Promote Health Awareness

  • Encourage a balanced diet, regular sleep routines, and appropriate physical activity for your child. Avoid excessive fatigue.

Support Campus Prevention Measures

  • If your child is diagnosed, is a close contact, or lives with someone who has tested positive, please contact the Health Office immediately.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us.

Severe Weather Response Guide

With the arrival of summer, the frequency of extreme weather increases. According to the government guidance documents, all schools in the city, regardless of region, will cancel school in the event that the municipal meteorological observatory in any area of the city issues the following meteorological disaster warning signals:

  • Yellow Warning Signal of Typhoon
  • Orange Warning Signal of Typhoon
  • Red Warning Signal of Typhoon
  • Red Warning Signal of Rainstorm
  • Red Warning Signal of Gale

If the above warning is issued before students have arrived at school, students should not come to school and should stay in a safe place. If the warning is issued during the school day, we will ensure all students are safe (including students on the school bus) until the warning signal is lifted.
