March 7 College Fair
Dear Avenues Families,
On March 7 from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Avenues Shenzhen will host admissions officers from more than 60 colleges and universities around the world at our FIRST EVER college fair.
As one of eight secondary schools in the Shenzhen International Schools Coalition, we will also host students and teachers from 6 local Shenzhen international schools.
Most importantly, our Grades 9-11 students will have the invaluable opportunity to interact directly with admissions officers from these institutions to gain valuable information and insights about application requirements and tips for how to navigate the application process. Please help us to encourage students to take full advantage of this opportunity!
Please note that this is an event for students. However, if you happen to be on campus and see visitors in or around the fair, please offer a warm Avenues welcome! Further details will be shared with students in the coming days.

Avenues Community Connections | How to help kids recognize and manage stress?
Time: 8:30–10:00 a.m., February 25
Venue: 3F, A12
Join us for an upcoming ACC session on "Recognizing and Managing Stress," open to the full community and designed specifically for parents of middle and high school students. We will draw insights from The Anxious Generation, among other sources, to explore the importance of understanding stress in our children’s lives for both positive and negative repercussions. We’ll discuss the difference between positive and negative stress, and how various factors—like social media, academic pressure, and home life—contribute to their anxiety.
Through interactive activities, such as emotional reaction exercises and peer pressure role-plays, you’ll gain firsthand experience of the challenges your children face. We’ll also share effective coping strategies for both students and parents, focusing on time management, healthy lifestyle choices, and creating a supportive home environment.
