Primary Division Updates
Dear Primary Division Families,
We are excited to announce the Moving Up Celebration as we joyfully conclude the 2024-2025 school year! On June 20, 2025, we will gather to honor our Grade 5 students, who are completing their Primary Division journey and preparing to embark on their Secondary adventure.
For our students in Grades 1-4, this event will be a delightful and informal celebration, featuring song, dance, and a variety of festive activities to welcome the next grade. We encourage everyone to embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in Hawaiian-style clothing with bright colors and patterns. Let’s create a vibrant and joyful atmosphere together!
Please note that this celebration is designed for students and Grade 5 families only. Rest assured, we will share photographs from the event so you can experience the joy and excitement of the day!
We look forward to celebrating this wonderful milestone together!
Warmly,
The Primary Division Leadership Team
June 20 Last Day of School Year (half-day)
Friday, June 20 is the last day of the school year, and students will begin their summer break! Please take note of the dismissal times and make appropriate arrangements for pick-up:
Seesaw Year-End Rollover – July 5
Please note that on July 5, Seesaw will roll over to the new school year. After this date, families will no longer have access to student journals from the current year. If you would like to save your child’s work, please download their journal before this date.
2025-2026 Registration Checklist Reminder
To ensure a smooth start to the new academic year, we kindly remind all families to review and update your family contact information as needed. A completed checklist is required for each student if you have more than one child enrolled at Avenues. We appreciate your continued partnership.
School Bus Service for 2025–2026 | Registration now open
We are now collecting intentions for the 2025–2026 school year bus service. If your child is aged 3 or above and you plan to participate in the bus service, kindly submit the registration form by June 20.
Your response will help us refine our routes and better accommodate each family’s needs. We look forward to providing a safe and caring transportation experience for your child in the new school year.
Picture Day Photos Order
The yearbook photos taken on campus in March—including class and individual portrait photos—will be used in the production of this year’s school yearbook. A printed copy of the yearbook will be distributed to each student’s family at the end of the school year.
In addition, parents now have the option to purchase student photos directly from the photography team online. The photos taken at school are now available for viewing and purchase.
How to Purchase Online:
1. Please scan the QR code in the “Ordering Guide” by using WeChat, or search for the mini program “大卫校园影像”.
2. Then, enter your child’s English name (e.g., Sam Wang) and date of birth to view the photos.
If you're unable to access the photos, please contact your division’s Operations Manager for help.
Health Office Friendly Reminder
Recently, there has been a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the wider community. To strengthen the health defenses of our campus, the Health Office kindly reminds you and your child to stay mindful of your health.
Daily Protection Measures:
If your child is diagnosed with COVID-19, please ensure they rest and recover at home and inform the Health Office. To prevent cross-infection, students may only return to school after at least 3 days of illness with a negative nucleic acid or antigen test, or 7 days after onset of symptoms.

Severe Weather Response Guide
With the arrival of summer, the frequency of extreme weather increases. According to the government guidance documents, all schools in the city, regardless of region, will cancel school in the event that the municipal meteorological observatory in any area of the city issues the following meteorological disaster warning signals:
If the above warning is issued before students have arrived at school, students should not come to school and should stay in a safe place. If the warning is issued during the school day, we will ensure all students are safe (including students on the school bus) until the warning signal is lifted.
Please click on the link below to get familiar with the severe weather response guide.
International School Assessment (ISA) Individual Student Reports Available June 19
