Primary Division Updates
Dear Primary Division Families,
As we approach the final week of our regular term, we celebrate the learning journeys our students have taken this year. Grade levels will be wrapping up their units with showcases and celebrations, highlighting the growth and creativity that have defined our classrooms. These moments offer students a chance to reflect on their achievements and share them with our community.
Looking ahead, we are excited to launch our June J-term, themed around the rights of the child. J-term is designed to help students understand and appreciate their own rights, as well as the rights of children around the world. By engaging in hands-on projects and thoughtful inquiry, students will learn to advocate for themselves and others—an essential skill for becoming empathetic, responsible global citizens.
This focus ties directly into the Avenues World Element of a global mindset. We believe that recognizing and respecting the rights of all children fosters a sense of interconnectedness and social responsibility. Through our J-term, we aim to empower students to see themselves as agents of change, ready to make a positive impact both locally and globally.
Let’s continue to nurture our students’ curiosity, compassion, and commitment to a better world.
Wishing everyone a joyful end to the term and an inspiring start to J-term!
Warmly,
The Primary Division Leadership Team

Severe Weather Response Guide
With the arrival of summer, the frequency of extreme weather increases. According to the government guidance documents, all schools in the city, regardless of region, will cancel school in the event that the municipal meteorological observatory in any area of the city issues the following meteorological disaster warning signals:
If the above warning is issued before students have arrived at school, students should not come to school and should stay in a safe place. If the warning is issued during the school day, we will ensure all students are safe (including students on the school bus) until the warning signal is lifted.
Please click on the link below to get familiar with the severe weather response guide.
Specialist Office Hours
To enhance the connection between families and our specialists, the Primary Division will introduce office hours for specialists. You can book a 20-minute time slot within the next week to discuss your child’s growth and progress with our specialists.
Please ensure you arrive on time for your appointment to respect the schedules of the families following yours. Kindly note that specialists cannot extend ‘Office Hours’ beyond the allocated time to avoid conflicts with their teaching responsibilities. Meetings will take place at various locations, so please review your appointment details carefully to confirm the correct venue.
The form is open for sign up from 14:00 Friday to 23:59 Sunday every week for the reservations.
