Kindergarten Updates

Dear ELC Families,

As we continue our journey through this academic year, we are reminded of the power of partnership in fostering your child’s growth and development. Parent-teacher conferences represent a valuable opportunity for us to deepen our collaboration and commitment to your child’s success.

At Avenues, our teachers are experts in teaching and learning; however, you are the expert in your child. When we come together, we provide the best, individualized learning and developmental support for your child. This shared expertise forms the foundation for an impactful conference experience.

To make the most of your upcoming parent-teacher conference, we encourage you to approach it with a mindset rooted in our core values: collaboration and learning. Here are some tips to ensure a meaningful and productive conversation:

  1. Prepare in Advance: Take some time to reflect on your child’s progress, strengths, and any areas where they may need additional support. Jot down specific questions or topics you’d like to discuss.
  2. Share Your Insights: Your perspective as a parent is invaluable. Come ready to share observations about your child’s interests, personality, and growth at home. This helps teachers gain a deeper understanding of how best to support your child’s learning journey.
  3. Be Open to Feedback: Conferences are a two-way exchange. Our teachers are committed to providing honest, thoughtful insights about your child’s development and progress. Together, we can identify strategies that support your child both at school and at home.
  4. Collaborate on Goals: Use this time to discuss next steps and shared goals for your child’s learning. Whether it’s building on current strengths or addressing specific challenges, creating a plan together ensures a cohesive approach.

When we approach conferences with a spirit of curiosity and teamwork, we embody the very values we seek to nurture in our children. As highlighted in our valued behaviors, collaboration means working together to bring out the best in each other, while learning involves seeking growth, sharing knowledge, and exploring innovative ideas.

We look forward to partnering with you during these conferences to create a holistic and personalized learning experience for your child. Thank you for your continued engagement and trust in us as we work together to shape your child’s learning journey.

Sincerely,

ELC Leadership Team

Summer@Avenues Registration Now Open!
As the greenery deepens and warmth fills the air, another vibrant summer is upon us—Summer@Avenues, our beloved summer program, is back! This year, we continue to offer a diverse array of programs for students from our Small World learners up to rising 10th graders.

Continuing with the beloved theme of “Clothing, Food, Housing, and Transportation,” the Kindergarten program will once again immerse children in rich, real-world experiences. Under the guidance of Avenues’ excellent teaching team and external experts, children will:

  • Step into traditional Cantonese tea houses and urban villages to experience the warmth and vibrancy of everyday life;
  • Visit food education and textile innovation bases to explore creativity and science in action;
  • Tour the cruise homeport and real estate showrooms to witness bustling modern scenes.

Through these unique Shenzhen experiences, children will uncover traces of culture and gain a deeper sense of history.

For Primary and Secondary students, this year’s programs focus on language enrichment, with themes such as filmmaking, public speaking, debate, and stand-up comedy. Our goal is to let education grow naturally from life and to nurture each student’s personal development with joy and purpose.

Click the links below to explore the program offerings best suited for your child. Enroll before June 1 to enjoy a special early-bird discount (5–15% off, depending on the program). Standard pricing resumes on June 1.

How to Register: WeChat → School Notifications → School Apps → Log into Avenues Extended Learning → 2025 Summer Program → Register
