Kindergarten Updates

Dear ELC families,

As we enter the final weeks of the school year, all our classes are diving into the most exciting part of their project inquiries. The classrooms are buzzing with energy — children are creating, experimenting, collaborating, and expressing their ideas in increasingly thoughtful ways. It is a wonderful time to witness how far they have come in their learning journey, and how their confidence and curiosity continue to blossom. At the same time, our team is thoughtfully preparing for the Celebrations of Learning (COL), and we look forward to partnering with you to celebrate your child’s learning and growth.

While the celebration of Book Week has come to a close, our commitment to nurturing a love of reading remains ongoing. In the spirit of Book Week, we’d love to share a few strategies you can try at home to continue fostering your child’s interest in reading:

  1. Set aside a regular time each day for shared reading.
  2. Engage in storytelling games like “story chain” to spark your child’s imagination.
  3. Visit a local library or bookstore together and let your child choose books that interest them.
  4. Create a cozy reading corner at home where your child can enjoy books in a calm and inviting atmosphere.

If you’d like more ideas or support, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here for you!

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust.

Warmly,

The ELC Leadership Team

Health Office Friendly Reminder
Recently, there has been a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the wider community. To strengthen the health defenses of our campus, the Health Office kindly reminds you and your child to stay mindful of your health.

Daily Protection Measures:

  • Wear masks properly in crowded places, wash hands frequently, ventilate rooms regularly, and avoid gatherings.
  • Monitor your child’s temperature and overall health. If symptoms such as sore throat, fatigue, or fever appear, please keep your child at home for observation and test promptly (antigen/PCR), and delay their return to school.

If your child is diagnosed with COVID-19, please ensure they rest and recover at home and inform the Health Office. To prevent cross-infection, students may only return to school after at least 3 days of illness with a negative nucleic acid or antigen test, or 7 days after onset of symptoms.

Promote Health Awareness
Encourage a balanced diet, regular sleep routines, and appropriate physical activity for your child. Avoid excessive fatigue.

Support Campus Prevention Measures
If your child is diagnosed, is a close contact, or lives with someone who has tested positive, please contact the Health Office immediately.

Through the 5th International Chinese Language Festival, learners from our Early Learning Center, Primary Division, and Secondary division showcased their creativity across various disciplines, including writing, calligraphy, recitation, singing, painting, and musical instruments, illuminating their unique paths of growth.

This year, Avenues students achieved remarkable success, including:

🏆 15 Champion Awards

🥈 16 First Runner-up Awards

🥉 18 Second Runner-up Honors

By participating in the International Chinese Festival, our students connected with peers worldwide who share a love for the Chinese language and culture. Looking forward to seeing more great creativity and work from our students!
