Dear Avenues Families,
Welcome to a new school year! At this hopeful and vibrant moment, we are delighted to begin a new journey together with you and your children. Last year, we hosted 17 ACC events with an overwhelming 95% parent satisfaction rate—a testament to the strength of our community and the value of learning together. Building on that success, this new year brings new opportunities for growth, exploration, and meaningful connections. We look forward to building a joyful, inspiring, and thriving learning community together.
This year, we are introducing exciting updates to Avenues Community Connections (ACC), our key platform for dialogue and shared learning between school and families. ACC aims to offer parents practical educational support, a deeper understanding of Avenues’ unique curriculum, and stronger alignment between home and school to extend children’s learning beyond the classroom.
The 2025–26 ACC program will feature the following highlights:
- Monthly themes that will be shared in advance, making it easier for parents to follow and engage;
- Topics closer to family needs, responding to parents’ real voices and suggestions;
- More interactive experiences, enabling parents to gain professional perspectives and practical strategies through hands-on and enjoyable activities;
- Rich resources and tools to support children’s learning and growth both at home and at school;
- Open exchanges with teachers and professionals, to explore children’s development while also encouraging parents’ own growth.
With these updates, we hope ACC will not only serve as a window into Avenues’ educational philosophy, but also as a platform where wisdom is shared, support is offered, and families grow together.
At the same time, Avenues will continue to expand its community partnerships, enabling students to take their learning beyond the classroom and into the real world. We believe that authentic learning experiences spark curiosity and creativity, while cultivating the skills and responsibility needed for the future.
This year, we are actively seeking collaborations with a wide range of organizations and individuals to provide diverse opportunities for our students, including:
- Field studies to explore learning in authentic contexts;
- Guest speakers who bring fresh perspectives and inspiration;
- Personal project mentors to guide students through creativity and practice;
- Collaborative projects designed with community partners to address real-world challenges;
- And many other forms of support.
Through these opportunities, we hope our students will broaden their horizons, understand the richness of society, and learn how to make a positive impact in the world as they grow and thrive.
To better design ACC themes and content, and to learn more about the topics that matter most to you, we warmly invite you to complete a short survey (link below). Monthly Event Calendar
To help parents stay informed about important upcoming events at school and across divisions, we will include a monthly calendar in the weekly newsletter at the beginning of each month. We encourage you to download or take a screenshot for your reference.
This calendar highlights events and athletic competitions that are open to all parents school-wide or within a specific division. Detailed information, including the exact time and location of each event, will be shared in the newsletter about one week in advance.
Please note that class- and grade-level activities will continue to be communicated through the division updates in the weekly newsletter or via class WeChat groups, and therefore are not included in this calendar.

Avenues Parent Association (APA)
Looking for Class Parents
Class parents have consistently played an important role in home-school communication. We are now inviting all parents to volunteer as class parents for the upcoming school year. If you are interested in becoming a class parent, please sign up by September 5 at 18:00 through the link below:
Once we have received all the sign-ups, we will select one class parent for each class（each grade in Secondary）. The final list will be determined by the division based on the following guidelines:
- Identify with the values of Welcome, Safety, and Respect.
- Be sensitive to the needs of the class and help connect home and school.
- One parent will serve one class only.
- When there are multiple applications from returning parents or new parents, the selection will be based on the parent's previous experience, teachers' recommendations, and the parent's ability to commit time and energy to this task.

Join the Avenues Echo Parent Choir
Dear Parents,
The Echo Parent Choir has been with us for two wonderful years! Do you still remember the performance of “Mother and Daughter” at the music concert? Do you remember the part of yourself that once dreamed of singing aloud? Don’t hesitate—come and join the Avenues Echo Parent Choir, and rediscover your true self through the joy of singing! This new year, let’s continue to light up Friday afternoons with our voices!
Class Information
- Class Time: Every Friday, 14:30–16:00 (starting September 5)
- Instructor: Mr. Danny (Avenues music teacher)
- Fee: 50 RMB per session

Avenues Parent–Child Early Learning Program: Now Open for Children Ages 1–3
We are delighted to share that the first session of Avenues’ Parent–Child Early Learning Program will begin this September!
This program is specially designed for families with children aged 1–3. In a child-friendly, warm, and safe kindergarten environment, it helps young learners take their very first steps in social development. With an emphasis on shared parent–child participation, you will enjoy meaningful moments alongside your child and our teachers.
Developed by our experienced Early Learning Center faculty, the program is guided by the Avenues World Elements to support early childhood development and lay a strong foundation for a smooth transition into kindergarten.
If you have friends, neighbors, or relatives with children between the ages of 1 and 3, we encourage you to share this invitation with them. Interested families can scan the QR code on the poster to add our Admissions Officer on WeChat and learn more about the program.
