Dear Avenues Families, 

Last week, I shared with you the joyful news of our Grade 12 seniors’ impressive achievements. Today, with that same warm heart, I’d like to invite you to look ahead with us—to a new chapter that is just beginning to unfold. 

After 20 years in education, I’ve come to understand this deeply: true education requires both the wisdom to embrace change and the courage to hold fast to what matters most. While graduation season has only just begun, our faculty and staff are already hard at work wrapping up a successful year and planting the seeds of what’s to come. With care and intention, we are planning for the return of every Avenues student this August. 

You may be wondering: In a world that changes so quickly, how can we be so steady? 

My answer is this: the fact that our preparations begin more than six months in advance—and that we care so deeply about every detail—is part of Avenues’ most sincere promise to each of our families. 

• The school calendar for next year was released as early as February. Each campus event has been thoughtfully planned.
• Our vertically aligned K–12 curriculum is being reviewed and refined—keeping our educational philosophy consistent, while adding new and timely elements.
• Our Well-being program is undergoing a comprehensive upgrade, ensuring each child’s developmental rhythms are supported with even greater care and scientific insight.
• Our global programs are expanding, with even more opportunities for cross-campus exchange—including not only the June J-Term but also inter-campus athletics. 

Meanwhile: 

• On August 1, our leadership team will return to campus, ready to chart the course for the year ahead.
• Soon after, new faculty will join us for onboarding, immersing themselves in the Avenues culture and educational ideals.
• Then comes faculty orientation and professional learning, a week of deep collaboration that brings intention to every lesson plan.
• And finally, on August 21, we will open our doors to welcome your family back. 

In uncertain times, we all come to value certainty even more. Amid the ever-shifting world around us, we hope this steady preparation brings you peace of mind and a sense of shared purpose. Education is a long and heartfelt journey—and we’re grateful to walk this path alongside you.

Together, let’s continue to believe: even in a fast-changing world, some of the most beautiful things in life take time to grow. And some of the most meaningful surprises are the ones we nurture together.
