ELC Updates

Dear ELC Families,

As we step into a new month, we’re filled with anticipation for the meaningful moments ahead. This time of year invites us to reflect on the progress we’ve made together and to look forward to opportunities to deepen the connections between home and school.

Our shared focus on clearly articulating and delivering a rich academic program continues to guide our work, and we’re excited to celebrate your children’s growth at our first semester Celebration of Learning later this month. Thank you for your partnership in nurturing curiosity, collaboration, and a love of learning.

Warmly,

The ELC Leadership Team

Weather-Appropriate Clothing Reminder
With cooler weather upon us, please make sure your child comes to school dressed warmly and has a jacket for outdoor play. It’s also a good time to check that their spare clothes at school are seasonally appropriate and follow our dress code. As a reminder, classroom clothing should be black, white, or gray. While jackets and outerwear for outdoors can be colorful or patterned, anything worn indoors needs to meet dress code guidelines. Thank you for helping us keep your child comfortable and prepared for the season!

Health Office Reminders
With the change in seasons and weather, to protect the health of our students, as always, the school is dedicated to work with families to ensure that students have enough rest, balanced nutrition, and a safe environment.

Campus daily cleaning and sanitizing:

  • The air filtration system runs 24 hours a day to keep the air circulating and clean.
  • As the weather turns cooler, fewer mosquitoes, and moderate humidity, classroom windows will be opened each day during non-teaching hours for ventilation.
  • Air quality monitoring systems work throughout the day to report on indoor air quality.
  • Hyper-oxygenated water is used to disinfect common areas, classrooms and playsets on a daily basis. In the event of a case of infectious disease, disinfection will be intensified using chlorine disinfectant at an appropriate concentration.
  • Ultraviolet lights are used for one hour each day in classrooms for disinfection.
  • Carpets are vacuumed and disinfected daily with UV light and superoxide spray.
  • Drinking fountain faucets and hand washing sink faucets are cleaned and disinfected daily.
  • In addition to ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our students' learning and activity spaces, we will also strengthen hygiene education including morning health checks and sick leave follow-ups. We would also like to ask for the cooperation of all parents to inform the Health Office in time if their students show symptoms such as fever, vomiting, sore throat, cough, etc.

Medications in school:
If students need to take medicine while in school, please contact the health office in advance and fill out a Medication permission form. The nurse will arrange the medication according to needs.

Parenting is one of the most profound and challenging roles in life. But what does it truly mean to be a parent? In this engaging talk, we’ll explore how communication, mutual respect, and a strong, loving family bond create the best environment for children to flourish.

Through open dialogue, thought-provoking questions, and practical insights, this session invites you to reflect on how your relationship with your child shapes their confidence, resilience, and ability to navigate the world. Discover how fostering mutual respect and building a connection rooted in love not only strengthens your family but also gives your child the courage to explore their individuality and dreams.

Join us as we unpack what it takes to prepare children for an uncertain future—not by controlling their paths but by guiding them with care, trust, and support. Together, we’ll reimagine what it means to parent with purpose and create a home where every child feels seen, heard, and ready to thrive.
